About Diversity Weighting

This dashboard uses scenario data from the Scenario Compass Initiative. The scenario subset used is those that pass the SCI vetting procedure.

Diversity weighting gives more influence to scenarios that provide distinct information and less influence to scenarios that are very similar to many others in the ensemble.

The method compares scenario time series across selected indicators, converts pairwise distances into similarity scores, and then combines variable-level results into a composite diversity weight.
